In the United States and all around the world, addiction is an awfully common problem and although it is a terrible epidemic, you should understand that we are here to help and you are not alone. When dealing with addiction, you may also feel very helpless or vulnerable but when abuse is caught early enough or if you have a moderate problem, outpatient therapy can effectively treat the dependence. Outpatient detox programs are an excellent choice for those who are ready for sobriety but cannot make the means for going away to a treatment center because of other priorities like employment or a busy schedule. Clients can work towards long-term sobriety all while proceeding with their regular day-to-day life at home or work and the program will be fit to your specific needs.
How Does Outpatient Detox Work?
Unlike an inpatient clinic, a person attending outpatient detox will live and reside at their own home while taking part in treatment during the day. Here they will learn to manage triggers of their addiction and even get to the bottom of any mental health issue they may have. Many times, addiction is just a symptom of a deeper problem and we help clients discover what this issue may be. When a client first begins therapy, sessions every day may be necessary until the client and their counselor are comfortable with having them a couple times per week. This can also be beneficial for those with less severe addictions because intense treatment may not be necessary and this can allow them to maintain responsibilities they may have at home like children or family. Clients will participate in valuable family therapy sessions, group sessions, relapse prevention and one on one therapy with their counselor. Clients will be held responsible for staying clean while in outpatient detox and they will be able to have their cell phone for duties such as calling home and work if needed.
Is Outpatient Detox Right For You?
If you or a loved one believes their addiction does not require intensive treatment, like if their addiction is fairly new and they are capable of sobriety while receiving the proper support, this is an excellent decision.
We encourage any one who is willing to change their life for the better and ready for sobriety to explore our outpatient detox center. There are no major commitments that could shy a person away from getting treatment and the clients life does not have to be put on hold. They can continue daily responsibilities all while getting the help that they need and they can gain tools to promote a more fulfilling life for them and their family.
